Toyota takes its commitment to off-roading very seriously. With three capable off-road vehicles in their lineup including the Tacoma, Tundra and the ever impressive 4Runner. When not one but three vehicles in a single brand are able to jump off the pavement and move along the less beaten path, you can count on engineering and innovation that you can trust. We could dedicate an entire series to these vehicles, each with its own strengths and style but the Toyota 4Runner is currently holding our hearts. Prepare yourself to move through BC’s rugged interior in a Toyota 4Runner from Prince George Toyota.

Get to Know the Toyota 4Runner

The 2018 TRD Pro option package to the 4Runner is the second year this amped up off-road equipped package has been offered.  There are many features that bring this backwoods worthy beast to life. Crawl Control, Multi-terrain Select, an elevated suspension that gives an extra inch between you, the ground and whatever your conquering. But that’s just the start.

You’re guaranteed impressive power when you choose the Toyota 4Runner. The Pro features a 4.0-liter, 270-horsepower V6 engine that gives you the strength to climb just about anything while still being fuel efficient. An electronic locking rear differential helps provide traction while the Downhill Assist helps you on the descent. Toyota pushes for power but never distracts from safety, stability, strength, and features that keep you safe. Important on the highways but perhaps more when you go off the road, safety features such as a complete airbag system, 3-point seat belts, and side impact bars keep you safe regardless of the terrain.

Perched on a flexible coil spring rear suspension, the 4Runner transitions from comfortable pavement sailing to epic climbs without skipping a beat. With its TRD-tuned suspension, 4Runner TRD Pro can help you deal with the trail ahead. The frontend in the TDR pro showcases a TRD-tuned 2.5-in. TRD Bilstein® coil-over-shock setup couples with TRD-tuned springs that are vital to this comfortable ride. The suspension offers a 1-in. lift in ride height because no off-roading vehicle would be complete without
The front end features a 2.5-in. aluminium housings; hardened, oversize shock shafts; and remote reservoirs in the rear.  A Coil-spring independent double-wishbone front suspension with stabilizer bar with a complementary coil-spring 4-link, lateral rod rear suspension with stabilizer bar gives the driver the confidence to cover uneven ground.

The Toyota 4Runner allows you to be different; it allows you to stand out.  Not only does the exposed skid plate and aggressive front bumper let you know this is not your typical commuter vehicle. The approach angle takes on a bold 33 degrees and the 4Runner’s one of a kind slanted C-pillar couples with the flat rear roll down window sets you apart from those around you. Pick your exterior colour and your tech-savvy interior that can comfortably seat up to 5, has an available navigation system and colourful media display.
