What’s New for 2018?
What isn’t? The 2018 Toyota Camry has a lot to brag about. The biggest difference that you’ll notice directly out of the gate is the body’s redesign. The new Camry exterior is more bold with defined lines across the board.

You’ll notice that the car is longer than its predecessor and more angled. In terms of design, the lines remind you of the Mitsubishi Evolution from the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious. Top it off with some chrome alloy wheels with black features and you’ll look ready to race through the suburbs of Prince George.
The interior still feels long, as it did in previous Camrys. With that being said, the new interior feels fresh and is filled with incredible technology.
In-Car Camry Technology
Toyota’s Entune’s 3.0 upgraded infotainment system has arrived on the 2018 Camry and works with various apps such as Scout for iPhone and Android. You’ll find this intuitive to use and integrate turn-by-turn navigation.
You’ll feel safe and secure with Toyota’s Safety Sense suite of features. Some of the on-board workings that will keep you safe include:
- Pre-collision system: radar system will automatically apply the brakes and prevent you from colliding with vehicles in front of you
- Pedestrian detection: radar system detects and minimizes the potential for
- Lane departure: this feature will warn you if you stray away from your lane while driving with steering assist
- Automatic cruise control and dynamic cruise control
The 2018 Camry also uses the STAR safety system that includes important features such as traction control, anti-lock brakes, smart stop technology, vehicle stability control, electronic brake force distribution, and brake assist.
How Do I Choose?
There are multiple trim levels to choose from, with the largest differentiator being standard models vs. hybrid models. We have both in-stock, depending on your preferences. From there, we break down into sport and luxury models. These include the L, LE, SE, XLE, and SLE. Sound a little confusing? Here’s what you need to know about each trim level. - L: The L is the standard edition of the 2018 Camry. It comes with a 4 cylinder engine, cloth seats, a backup camera, and full touch screen Entune interface.
- LE: You’ll find all of the features of the L trim level, but with more positions for the driver’s seat, a folding backseat, larger wheels and an anti-theft alarm.
- SE: S means sporty. With this trim level, you’ll gain performance tuning around the vehicle, a spoiler, upgraded individual climate controls and interior seating options.
- XLE: Your wheels get even larger (19”), you gain more performance tuning, more adjustments to the passenger seat, leather-trimmed seating, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, more climate controls, proximity keyless entry, and HomeLink. On the XLE you’ll also find Eco, Normal, and Sport modes.
- XSE: Bold black wheels, even more performance tuning, smoked headlights and taillights that will make you look tougher than ever, a rear spoiler and dual exhaust. Not to mention everything included in the previous trims.
If you’re looking for more power, the optional V6 engine on the XLE model can give you that, as well as an 8-inch touchscreen, JBL stereo and speakers, as well as wireless phone charging and a panoramic sunroof. How’s that for style?
