The 2017 Toyota Tundra was designed with safety in mind. Even big trucks need protection, which is why the Tundra comes with 8 standard airbags, a roll-sensing head/side curtain and front seat-mounted side airbags. It’s also the first truck of its kind to come equipped with knee airbags. The Toyota Tundra is backed by Toyota’s Star Safety System which ensures accidents can be avoided as much as possible. It features VSC and A-TRAC, which monitor your wheel speed and traction under varying driving conditions, plus the Anti-Lock Brake System, Brake Assist, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Smart Stop Technology. Taking it one step further, the driver-activated Automatic Limited Slip Differential (Auto LSD) helps you control wheel spins giving you enhanced take off on uneven or roll-resistant surfaces, like sand or ice. Keep up with your surroundings with the help of the Tundra’s large foldable, power-adjustable heated mirrors and the standard backup camera that lets you see what’s behind you on the display audio screen. The Tundra helps eliminate the Blind spot with a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM)1 with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA)2, standard on Double Cab Limited with Technology Package, CrewMax Platinum and 1794 Edition.
